Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
This policy explains how the iOS app Pocket Swatchbook (“the app”), made by Arminas Šaltenis, handles your information. The short version: the app does not collect any data. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Information we collect
None. The app has no account or sign-in, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. It does not connect to the internet. We never receive the information you enter, and we cannot see it.
Data stored on your device
The information you enter in the app is stored only in the app's private storage on your iPhone, together with a few preferences (for example, settings you change). It is not shared with us or with anyone else. Like any app's data, it may be included in your iPhone's iCloud or computer backups if you have backups turned on; those backups are controlled by you and Apple.
Camera
If you take a photo in the app, it asks for camera access the first time. The camera is used only while the camera screen is open. The photo is processed on your device to find its colors and is not saved to your photo library or sent anywhere; as with chosen photos, only a small thumbnail is kept with the palette.
Photos
When you extract colors from a photo, you choose it with the system photo picker, which gives the app access to that one photo only; the app does not request access to your photo library. The colors are computed on your device. The full photo is not stored: only a small, compressed thumbnail is saved with the palette, in the app's private storage, excluded from device backups, and deleted when you delete the palette.
Deleting your data
You can edit or delete anything you entered from within the app. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
